I can confidently say that my journey did not begin when I opened this site. It began a long time ago. I’m not old. In fact, I’m currently 19. But I believe that anyone can truly come to know who God is and how he teaches them if they only start with a desire.
In my first post here, I would like to explain more about the purpose in this blog. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and through my journey growing up in this wonderful Church, I have not only come to know who God is, but I continue to learn more of Him every single day through sincere prayer and scripture study. In putting this blog together, I hope to be able to share a portion of His light with all those around me, even in the entire world, as we can do with technology today. I hope to share with as many people as possible how I have come to know who He is, how He has taught me the simple truths that He shares with us, and I can only hope as well that those who read this will have a desire to follow Christ’s teachings, and to pray and try for themselves the wonderful fruits that this gospel has to share.
I would like to add in that I am also a missionary for the Church, and have recently received access to Online Proselyting, and as such, we now have access to creating blogs, Facebook access, and other things that will assist us in our proselyting efforts. So yes, I am a missionary, but I am just a normal person that is sharing his growth in this world at the same time.
Throughout this blog, there will be quotes from scriptures, leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or even people I am around every day. As I post material, I will try to link what I can so that you can easily learn more. And as you read, I would encourage you to ponder on these quotes and the importance of them.
I pray that through this blog everyone will not only have a desire to come to know God and who He truly is, but that everyone will also come unto Christ and “lift where [they] stand” (President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, October 2008).
